Services

As part of our corporate offering, ICU Technologies also provides a range of services to ensure that the satisfaction level of our customers is the highest possible in Canada today.

Customer operational training is provided at no charge for the life of the system, and professional networking and technical training is also available as required at current rates.

Where specialist system design is required to meet a non-standard job, ICU technicians creatively use the latest technologies, recently including an imaginative touch-screen design in a previously insoluble finance systems application.

Whereas most videoconferencing is simply between two locations ("point-to-point"), for customers who wish to videoconference to multiple locations simultaneously ("multi-point") ICU Technologies offers the finest options in the market today, inboard software bridges and our own MGC50 hardware bridge. Using a bridge, these multipoint calls may be voice-activated (each screen automatically shows the last speaker) or have the customer select which screen should be shown, which is called "seat control". Alternatively, each screen layout may be individually designed for each meeting. For an annual announcement, for example, it can show the Presidents site large and in the middle of the screen, so he can be seen by everyone, while the other six major sites are around in smaller sizes. For a regular five-way conference, the screen can be quartered so each will see the four far-ends continually present and "Continuous Presence" is what this is called.

For system software and hardware maintenance, we have GEAC, one of the largest specialist maintenance companies in Canada, service our customers coast-to-coast.
